July 19, 2010 USA Ambassador, Mr. Richard Olson visited the Abu Dhabi Falcon Hospital on 18.07.2010 Category : General Mr. Richard Olson, Ambassador of the United States of America – Abu Dhabi, U.A.E. and 2 other officials from USA Embassy toured the Abu Dhabi Falcon Hospital on 18th July 2010. He was received by Dr. Margit Gabriele Muller, Director Abu Dhabi Falcon Hospital who showed him around the Abu Dhabi Falcon Hospital facilities. The guests visited the museum where they were given a deep insight on the history of the Abu Dhabi Falcon Hospital as well as the cultural background and history of Arabic falconry and the fascinating world of falcons. From the museum the Ambassador proceeded to the examination room where he watched the feather replacement of a falcon. The Ambassador Mr. Olson and the other US officials also enjoyed carrying the majestic falcons prior to watching the free-flying falcons in an aviary. The esteemed guests were highly impressed about the Shaheen Conference Center and the beautiful museum with rare photographs of H.H. The Late Shk. Zayed with falcons. The US Ambassador commented on his visit to the Abu Dhabi Falcon Hospital: “Thank you very much for a wonderful tour of this outstanding facility which adds so much to falconry worldwide”.
