For the second consecutive year, the Abu Dhabi Falcon Hospital (ADFH) won the Middle East's Responsible Tourism Award at the World Travel Awards 2014. These awards are acknowledged across the globe as the ultimate travel accolade and aim to celebrate brands that are pushing the boundaries of industry excellence.

Established by the Environment Agency - Abu Dhabi (EAD) in 1999, the ADFH is internationally recognised for its commitment to the UAE's culture and economy and for its contribution to biodiversity conservation. It has also become a popular award-winning tourism destination and is the largest falcon hospital in the world with an ever-increasing influx of patients.

Dr. Margit Muller, Director of the Abu Dhabi Falcon Hospital, noted that the hospital's award-winning tourism programme offers visitors an unforgettable experience and includes guided tours in different languages such as English, Arabic, French and German. She added that in 2013, the ADFH won the same responsible tourism award and was ranked the 3rd best tourist attraction in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi by internationally renowned travel website TripAdvisor.

The Europe Business Assembly has selected the Abu Dhabi Falcon Hospital to receive “The Best Enterprise Award” and to participate in the Oxford Summit of Leaders on 25th and 26th October 2012 in Oxford, UK.

In the same event, the Europe Business Assembly has selected the Director Abu Dhabi Falcon Hospital to receive the “Best Manager of the Year Award” and to deliver a presentation about the business model of ADFH at the Oxford Summit of Leaders. The award was handed over to Director ADFH at a ceremony on October 26th.

Abu Dhabi Falcon Hospital received a plaque of appreciation from Abu Dhabi Tourism and Cultural Authority in recognition for its valuable contribution and support towards the success of the 4th edition of Tourism Youth Summer Camp 2012. The Award ceremony was held on 17th September 2012 at Shangri-La Hotel, Abu Dhabi.

This year, 115 students have successfully completed the 15-day program, which introduced them to the emirate’s expanding tourism industry and highlighted the diverse career opportunities within it. The award was created through the Trade Leaders’ Club to honor the most outstanding establishments in the tourism, hotel, restaurant and catering field.

The award trophy is designed by the Spanish sculptor and represents a wild bull. The award ceremony was held during an official gala dinner following a working meeting of the tourism, hotel and catering industry.

The ceremony was attended by Spanish authorities belonging to the tourism industry, ambassadors and members of the Diplomatic corps, tourist and hotel VIPS, press and TV. The Trade Leaders’ Club consists of more than 7000 companies of 110 countries

His Highness General Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces was in attendance to personally present the awards and congratulate the worthy recipients.

Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan underscored the commitment of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE and Ruler of Abu Dhabi to the Abu Dhabi Awards and expressed gratitude that the program continues to preserve the legacy of the nation's father, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan.
